Our Story

The need for effective, efficient, economical and compassionate immigration services has skyrocketed the past few years. Early on, we committed to offering a percentage of our services pro bono ( no cost) for those in dire refugee status and discounted and flexible fee arrangements for others.We offer effective, efficient  and experienced services to handle all of your immigration needs. Whether coming to the United States or Canada, we can help you with study visas, green card applications, asylum and refugee claims, family visas and much more. Our excellent reputation  speaks for itself. Our founding partner has been an attorney for more than 35 years, and a former U.S. judge.


Meet the Founder…

Terry N. Hursh, B.A. M.Div J.D.

Terry was born in the United States and received his B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University. He then graduated from Ohio Northern University School of Law, with honours and was called to the bar in 1981. He has served as City Prosecutor, Municipal Counsel, Counsel for the Fort Benjamin Harrison Reuse Authority, and eight years as a Judge in Indianapolis. As judge he was nationally recognized for his innovations on the bench which included the first on-line filing system in the state as well as an educational program designed for secondary school students.

Recognized as a community leader, he has served on the board of directors of numerous organizations in both the United States and Canada, including Children of Promise International, Family and Children’s Services of Waterloo Region Foundation, and Interfaith Council of Peel. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Immigration Council and the Immigration Section of the Canadian Bar Association. He is founding partner of Hursh Immigration Law, a firm committed solely to the practice of U.S. immigration and nationality law.

Terry also received his Masters of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary and is an ordained Lutheran clergyman. He has served as assistant to the bishop, Executive Director of Lutheran Child and Family Services, Vice President and Regional Planned Giving Counselor of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Foundation and a parish pastor.

He also has served as adjunct professor for Indiana- Purdue University and Concordia University.

In 2009 Terry was awarded the honour of “Distinguished Hoosier” by Governor Mitch Daniels of Indiana for his contributions to the state as “an individual who has earned the respect and admiration of people throughout Indiana and beyond.”

Terry is a recognized RCIC (Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant) and a member of CAPIC ( Canadian Association of Immigration Consultants) and affiliated with Lebane, Hursh & Associates a consultancy firm in Toronto.

Terry has two children; a son who is an attorney and a daughter in IT marketing. He is married to Wasma Al-Naib and lives in Mississauga, Ontario.
